Shiki Bed Base & Cotton Futon Mattress
The Shiki Bed base has long been a popular item for futoneers who prefer a no frills simple to put together base. In and out in seconds and easily transportable but for those who have owned good futon mattresses, a must to protect the mattress from damp caused from no ventilation under the mattress when just dropped on the floor, and not turned daily, with cotton futons been the best at keeping you cool in summer, and warm in winter, the moisture lost from your body into the mattress needs to "Air Away" or unsightly stains will appear on the underside fabric, with this been a great combination for students moving from house to house and we have seen futons ruined from owners infrequently turning or never turning futons left on their floors.

Hi,
I bought the futon bed above and i havent had any trouble with it. when I rang up they were very friendly. The delivery company messed up my order and the guys did their best to sort it out. Very personalised service.. Can really recommend them!

I have a problem with my futon bed - my daughter took one look, described it as 'lush' and tried to steal it from me! Oh well, I expect I'll have to buy another one for her from Funky Futon Co. I wouldn't dream of buying it from anywhere else.

I researched futon mattresses thoroughly before making a decision to purchase one. This was going to be my first such purchase and I was most impressed by the specification of the Shiki Futon Bed, both the mattress I eventually decided on and the frame that it rests upon. I ordered on line the 4ft Shiki Bed base and the Sleep 10 futon Mattress (this comes with lambswool added) I was impressed by the friendly and professional service and sound advice prior to making my decision and with the speed and efficiency with which my order was processed and made and the overall quality of the product itself. The futon mattress is superb, it is comfortable and warm and offers me exceptional support whilst sleeping. The base is easy to assemble and is easily moved if you want to change its location in the house. It really is a great piece of design.
