Everything was outstanding

I purchased the Cambridge futon sofabed for my home office/guest bedroom and it was delivered a few weeks ago. The whole experience from placing the order, communications, delivery, onsite installation (really glad we opted for this- well worth it) and just the overall superb service and product quality. Its really comfortable and nice-looking for a sofa which is what it will be used mostly. I road tested the bed function in prep for an overseas guest in a couple of weeks and it was very easy to convert and I slept very well. Outstanding!

The hardest part was choosing which futon to get! We converted our garage due to expecting another child and needed a spare room for guest. We looked high and low for a quality sofa bed. My in-laws already have a funky futon and said from day one that we shouldn’t look any further. Knowing we needed to prioritise comfort it was great to have a choice of mattress types. After looking at all the photos and getting some samples sent to our house we knew what we wanted. Delivery day came and we also had it assembled. WOW! We absolutely love it. Not only does it look incredible but it’s build quality is second to none. The mattress is super comfortable and I know I’m not going to break my back putting it into both seating and bed position. All staff I spoke to were fantastic, knowledgeable and clearly very proud to work for this company. Don’t look any further!

We're both thrilled with our Cambridge Sofa bed that we bought last week. We live in a park home and space is a real issue and we decideded that we needed to make more of our second bedroom which was dominated by a double divan bed. We decided to donate the bed to a local charity replacing it with the sofa bed which means we now have another living space which is really handy as we can use it, amongst other things, for a play area for our recently arrived granddaughter. We actually drove down from Durham to Leeds and met with Andrew at his showroom and he couldn't have been more helpful, listening to our requirements and coming up with excellent suggestions to suit our situation. He then drove up with his charming partner to construct the bed. We love the design and sturdy construction and it is incredibly comfortable. This is a wonderful family run company which I couldn't recommend more highly.

Brilliant

Absolutely brilliant and easy to set up, Andrew even brought the futon to where I was moored on the river weaver. Great service! It was relatively easy to set up I would add that if you are on a boat try and set it up, at least assemble the frame and then bring it onboard because I struggled just a little with space, I have given 5 stars the only criticism is that the pictures on the photocopied instructions where a little hard to see but I phoned Andrew and he was very helpful, the seat is very sturdy and even though there are other companies with cheaper products, that’s exactly what they are cheap. This futon seems very tough. It’s been 2weeks and I’m very happy with it.

Sofabed supreme. Easy to open and close. Looks great. REALLY comfortable both as a sofa and bed (which is a big big plus). Company super to deal with. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend. Sweet dreams.

Cambridge sofa bed

Very pleased with the purchase of a Cambridge sofa bed. It arrived only a week after we bought it and I managed to assemble it without any real issues. Its comfy as a sofa and even better as a bed, it also feels study enough that it will last too.

After MANY months of searching for a small double sofa bed we received our futon sofa bed from Funky Futon yesterday after a short 2 week wait. We are really delighted with the sofa bed, great quality frame and love the mustard yellow chenille fabric. After a phone conversation to Andrew we were able to order the Cambridge sofa bed with Manchester arms to suit a very small space. It looks perfect! Delivered to Devon by 2 friendly, efficient and helpful young men. Highly recommend this company, and its great to support an independent business. Just wish Funky Futon came up sooner in our Google search.

What a lovely company to deal with. I love my new futon bed / sofa I have gained so much more room in my spare bedroom by getting rid of a barley used guest bed. My Futon

I ordered my Cambridge futon to go in my Narrow boat and I have not been let down,first off the web page was nice and easy to use with videos of the workings of the futon. We placed our order and 2 weeks later we had a delivery day booked,i then had a message asking if I wanted it assembled and jokingly I said yes if you can do it on my boat,to my surprise I was told that it wasn’t an issue,come delivery day I was contacted twice by the driver,we went to my boat and an hour later it was done and we were having a coffee by the river,the lad that delivered and assembled our futon was very polite and a credit to the company. Thanks for all your help it was very much appreciated,as for the futon it’s perfect,handmade from solid wood and very easy to go from sofa to bed and back again. We love it

Cambridge Sofa

Can’t believe how efficient this company are. Ordered last week, made and delivered within a week. It arrived on time - no looking at the clock wondering if they were going to deliver today or not as the day wears on. The guys who brought it then built it, demonstrated it and cleaned up afterwards and were away within 40 minutes. What about the bed/sofa. Very comfortable to sprawl on (which is what it’s for). Simplicity itself to turn into a bed and while it will only be slept on less than 20 times a year seems both solid and comfortable. I found a recommendation for Funky Futon on Money Saving Expert and am very pleased with every aspect of the purchase.

We just received our Cambridge sofa bed and are really pleased with both the product and the service we have received from Funky Futons. Great communication and information to initial queries, easy ordering and payment system, great delivery time with option for assembly on site. And the futon itself is excellent quality and looks terrific. I would definitely recommend and would not hesitate to buy again, especially as they are a local small business.

Great sofa bad

This is a robust sofa bed that is easy to pull out into a bed and put back again. It's pretty solid and functional, and the guys put it together in no more than 15 minutes. Great if it has to go upstairs as ours did as it comes in flatpack form.

I have used this now every night for nearly four months. It is really comfy, easy to set up and put away, and looks great as a sofa. Brilliant product, well made. Fantastic service too.

Delighted with the Cambridge Sofa Bed, exactly what we wanted to fit into a limited space but give the maximum bed size possible. Mark and Andrew at the factory were a joy to meet - and so enthusiastic about their product. Delivered in the two to three weeks timescale we were given when we ordered. My sofa bed was delivered and and assembled on time and for a very reasonable price. It works very well so far, easy to convert to a bed and then back to a sofa, and the mattress is very comfortable. I would happily recommend.

Great service, futon delivered to our son locally within a few days of order so that we could collect when we visited. Can't say that assembly went without a small hitch or two . . .but we got there in the end!! :-)) Futon fits really well in a very small bedroom, looks great, has been slept on and declared comfortable!! Great product, superb service. We needed a self assembly sofabed for a London flat with narrow access. Funky Futon opened up their showroom to suit my time of driving north, showed me the product, then delivered our choice of wood, mattress and cover within a week. It's ideal in a small flat, comfy as both sofa and bed. So much so, we bought a second one for a Yorkshire cottage. And guess what? They delivered at short notice in time for Christmas.
